Charles studied architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology and received a BS in construction management from Arizona State University. With over 30 years in the construction industry, he has experience as a draftsman, project engineer, project manager and superintendent. As an estimator he has over 20 years of experience at companies such as Kitchell CEM, Perera Construction and as a contract professional for the LAUSD. He has provided all levels of estimates from conceptual through construction documents, engineer’s estimates to general contractor negotiated and hard bids both public and private. His experience ranges through commercial office buildings, data centers, performing arts centers, museums, senior centers, schools, universities, prisons and a variety of other types. Some of his notable projects include State Farm Arena (Atlanta), Phoenix Art Museum, Muhammad Ali Center, Nixon Library, and McNeil Island Special Commitment Center.
